Birdies for Charity
Connecticut Association of Nonprofits has teamed
up with the PGA TOUR, Travelers Championship and Greater Hartford Jaycees to
help raise money for Connecticut's nonprofits through Birdies for Charity®,
a national fundraising program. Any 501(c)(3) charities in the state can
participate in this pledge-based program. It's simple.
Below are the members of CT Nonprofits that are

Representatives from some of these nonprofit
organizations attended a press conference on April 26 that kicked off the local
Birdies for Charity program. Check out the
photos from that event.
To learn more about how your nonprofit
organization can participate, click
here to visit the Travelers Championship Web site.
Any organizations that participate will solicit
pledges from their supporters based on the number of "birdies" scored by PGA
TOUR Professionals during the 2007 Travelers Championship, from June 18 through
June 24, 2007, in Cromwell. (A birdie means a golfer has managed to sink his
golf ball in the hole with one less stroke than the par listed for that
particular hole.)
There is zero risk and zero cost associated with
participating. But it's a 100 percent return for you. All the pledges you
solicit will be processed and collected by the championship and all the money
will be
returned to you.
