2008 - 2012 Strategic Plan

Vision for the Future

In five years, CT Nonprofits will be widely recognized and respected as the leading resource, representative and advocate for nonprofits throughout the state of Connecticut. The organization will be playing a critical role as a collaborator and convener within the nonprofit sector and also among the sector and the government and business sectors. It will have established a stronger, more credible voice as public policy advocate, and it will be effectively showcasing the work of nonprofits within the state to the larger community.

A model of the principles and practices it promotes, the organization will be offering high-quality services that strengthen nonprofits in Connecticut while also differentiating CT Nonprofits from peers. Its portfolio of services and cost-saving programs will have grown strategically and substantially to meet identified needs. As a result, a significant number of nonprofits that understand and value the benefits associated with being a member will have joined CT Nonprofits.

While revenues from member dues and fees will have increased, other new sources of income necessary to sustain operations and support growth will have been secured. Its highly qualified and competitively compensated staff will be large enough to support daily operations and growth, and it will be operating in an updated/new facility supported by technology resources sufficient to meet the challenges associated with performing its critical mission.
