Birdies for Charity 2011: |
JUNE 18 - 24, 2012 I TPC RIVER HIGHLANDS I CROMWELL, CT Info coming soon!
J.H. Cohn LLP and Connecticut Association of Nonprofits were sponsors of the Birdies for Charity program at the 2011 Travelers Championship. It was a great opportunity for you to raise funds without incurring considerable expenses and have seen it be a success for more than 100 of our members and clients that have participated in past Birdies for Charity campaigns.
Did you know that in 2011, more than $1 million was raised by nonprofit organizations throughout New England participating in Birdies for Charity? We want YOU to be one of those success stories and encourage you to attend one of the informational sessions below to learn more about how your agency can raise funds to further its mission.
Birdies for Charity is a simple pledge-based fundraiser based upon the number of birdies made during the Travelers Championship. A birdie is a score of one stroke better than par for any golf hole. PGA TOUR professionals are anticipated to make an average of 1,500 – 2,000 birdies, from Wednesday – Sunday of tournament week. In Birdies for Charity, you can turn those birdies into money for your nonprofit organization!
All participating nonprofits simply solicit pledges based upon the number of birdies made. Pledges can even be as low as one penny!
