In recognition of its 100 years of service to Connecticut’s citizens, Connecticut Association of Nonprofits proudly presents Mental Health Association of Connecticut (MHAC) as its Member of the Month. MHAC, the oldest organization in the mental health movement in the U.S., will be hosting a centennial dinner this month.

Originally founded in 1908 as the Connecticut Society for Mental Hygiene, MHAC continues to be dedicated to its mission of advocating and working for everyone’s mental health. Each year, MHAC serves more than 700 individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness, who receive residential support services, vocational services and psychological rehab services.
